VIRTUAL ROUNDTABLE

For School Leaders and District Staff

Stabilizing the Fall Behavior Spike: How SAFE Helps Districts Support Staff

The newness of the school year has worn off, and everyone is settling into the routines and expectations of the year. Teachers and support staff expect children to understand and follow those expectations. As routines become established, schools may also see an increase in incidents of unwanted behavior.

Through the lens of the S.A.F.E. framework, this session will explore how to support staff in successfully navigating this time of year. You’ll gain practical ideas to use immediately with staff, along with resources to support implementation.

You’ll learn:

  • Recognize signs that indicate the need to support the School Family.
  • Utilize the S.A.F.E. framework to determine how to approach unwanted behaviors.
  • Put strategies into action that support a successful School Family.

The session will cover foundational Conscious Discipline applications, including:

  • Adult Active Calming
  • Providing Encouragement
  • Opportunities to Build Connection and the School Family
  • Creating Regulated Classrooms That Support Learning

Whether you are new to Conscious Discipline or looking to deepen your own practice, this session will leave you equipped with practical ideas to support the success of the School Family, including staff members.
